Taman Bendera Pusaka Heritage Park Short on Parking, Pramono Urges Public Transport Use
JAKARTA — Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has acknowledged that Taman Bendera Pusaka heritage park does not yet have adequate official parking facilities to accommodate visitor vehicles.
According to Pramono, the current available parking capacity is insufficient should visitor numbers increase. “There are parking spaces available, but I am confident they are not sufficient for that. If I said parking was not a problem, I would also be lying,” said Pramono when encountered at the park on Saturday 14 March 2026.
“We are appealing and hoping that people intending to use this park would do well to use public transport instead, as it is accessible from anywhere,” he urged.
Pramono explained that the park’s location is sufficiently strategic and easily accessible by various forms of public transport. In the vicinity of the park, Blok M Terminal operates several TransJakarta routes, and there are JakLingko transport stops. Additionally, the area is close to Jakarta MRT stations, which can facilitate public access.
Taman Bendera Pusaka is planned to operate 24 hours a day with CCTV camera surveillance and security personnel. Visitors can use various sports facilities available, including padel courts, multipurpose courts for basketball, tennis and badminton, as well as a jogging track spanning 1.2 kilometres.
