JAKARTA (JP): A team of eight Australian experts will be involved in a major energy workshop next week, with 60 key Indonesian representatives from government, industry and research fields.
Led by the chairman of the Joint Coal Board, Ian Farrar, the workshop will focus on the latest international clean coal technology and management system.
The two-day workshop, starting Monday, is part of an international program funded by the United Nations Development Program and Australia's overseas aid agency, AIDAB.
The Australian embassy said yesterday, that Australia has been chosen by the United Nations Development Program to coordinate the international training program because it is a world leader in the efficient production, preparation, transport and use of coal.(hen)
