Parenting patterns among the younger generation are undergoing a significant shift. A new study by Talker Research, conducted among 2,000 parents of children aged 0-6 years, found that the majority of Gen Z parents view parenting as a crucial process to equip children to survive and adapt to the real world.

The data show that around 54 per cent of Gen Z parents state that their main parenting objective is to ensure their children are ready to face real life. In this context, the mother’s role becomes central, not only as a caregiver but also as the first figure shaping children’s thinking, learning approaches, and imagination through appropriate stimulation and emotional support.

In response to this spirit, SGM Eksplor announced its support for the latest family film by Visinema Studios titled “Na Willa”. The film features Na Willa as a representation of Indonesian children who are active, curious, and highly imaginative, qualities aligned with the profile of the “Anak Generasi Maju” (Forward Generation).

Head of SGM, Anissa Ardiellaputri, emphasised that the partnership aims to inspire parents that every child has the potential to grow more optimally with the right nutrition. “We have a mission to support the birth of Indonesia’s Forward Generation and, together with Indonesian mothers, have nourished more than 75 million Indonesian children. Because the future of the nation depends on the progress of its next generation. The Na Willa film support is a strategic collaboration to inspire parents that every child can grow more like Na Willa with better nutrition,” Anissa said.

Child Development Psychologist Aninda, S.Psi, M.Psi.T, explained that daily interactions at home are the cornerstone of a child’s development. She noted that parental support and emotional closeness from mothers strongly determine how children solve problems and understand their environment. “A mother is often described as a child’s first teacher because through daily home interactions, children begin to learn about the things around them. From this process, a child’s curiosity can develop and help them become quicker to respond,” Aninda said.

Na Willa producer Anggia Kharisma said the film was created to fill gaps in child-friendly content in Indonesia’s film industry. She hopes Na Willa’s story can become a space for Indonesian children to see representations of their own lives on the big screen. “Through Na Willa we aim to present a simple and relevant story for Indonesian families. We hope Na Willa can be one of the family viewing options in Indonesia that is not only entertaining but also feels closely related to many families’ experiences,” Anggia said.

The film Na Willa is scheduled to premiere across cinemas nationwide in Indonesia starting 18 March 2026, timed with the Eid al-Fitr holidays. This collaboration is expected to encourage mothers to continue providing stimulation and the best nutrition for their children so they are prepared to become the Forward Generation that grows faster and more responsive.

Na Willa will be released this Eid al-Fitr in cinemas. The film is adapted from a work by Reda Gaudiamo and directed by Ryan Adriandhy of Visinema Studios.

As Eid al-Fitr 2026 approaches, Jumbo creators reunite to present a new children’s film titled Na Willa.

Na Willa, an adaptation of Reda Gaudiamo’s literary work and produced by Visinema Studios, seeks to capture the warmth and honesty of childhood.
