Take Note: Traffic Diversions in Harmoni to Mangga Besar
Jakarta – Traffic management in the Harmoni to Mangga Besar area has been re-implemented in line with the ongoing MRT Jakarta Phase 2A project. The traffic diversions will run from 25 May 2026 to 27 September 2026 and could affect motorists travelling through central Jakarta. The traffic management is being implemented to support construction work for Harmoni Station, which is part of the CP202 Phase 2A MRT Jakarta contract package.
‘The traffic management has been carried out by PT MRT Jakarta together with Shimizu Adhi Karya Joint Venture as the contractor and has coordinated with the Dinas Perhubungan Provinsi DKI Jakarta and Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya,’ said Rendy, in a statement on Tuesday (19 May 2026).
Traffic management in Harmoni commences on 25 May 2026.
PT MRT Jakarta explains that the latest traffic scheme falls under Stage 4.1 and will be in place from 25 May 2026 to 27 September 2026.
During this period, several traffic diversions will be implemented around the Harmoni junction, Jalan Gajah Mada, and Jalan Hayam Wuruk.
The Gajah Mada segment after the Hasyim Ashari junction, which was previously two-way, will be converted to a one-way towards the City.
Vehicles heading to the City, particularly Transjakarta buses, will be diverted via Jalan Hayam Wuruk using a single-lane contraflow system.
Traffic from Jalan Hayam Wuruk towards Monas will not change.
