Take Note! Prabowo: A Nation Can Succeed If Its Elites Cooperate
President Prabowo Subianto spoke regarding nation-building during a meeting with entrepreneurs from the central and regional Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Friday (31/07/2026). In his address, Prabowo stated that nation-building is an extremely long and arduous process that requires cross-sector development. “Therefore, nation-building requires the strength of the nation to be mobilised and unified, so that the nation can utilise all the resources available within it,” said Prabeway. The Chairman of the Gerindra Party then highlighted the history of human civilisation, where the distinction between successful and failed nations is clearly visible. “A nation that fails is called a failed state. It possesses resources but fails. This is even more critical for those without resources or other advantages,” Prabowo remarked. “The primary lesson we learn is the necessity of synergy between elites, the need for cooperation and collaboration,” he continued. The former Minister of Defence emphasised that no successful nation has escaped the need for elites who can work together, whereas failed states are caused by quarreling elites. “What is meant by elites? Elites are the leadership elements. Political elites, economic elites, intellectual elites, religious elites, cultural elites, artistic elites, producer elites, and labour elites,” Prabowo explained. “It is like a matrix. In AI, data is collected and can simply be accessed. Show me a country that succeeds if its elites are constantly fighting,” he added. Consequently, Prabowo expressed his gratitude as, since the beginning of his administration, Kadin has demonstrated a willingness to cooperate and strive together for the good of the entire nation and country.
