Take Note of the Date: Prediction of Peak Return Flow for Eid 2026
The peak return flow for Eid 2026 is expected to occur tomorrow, 24 March. This prediction is based on the results of analysis and evaluation conducted jointly with relevant stakeholders.
Quoting from the Polri Public Relations website, the peak return flow for Eid 2026 is predicted to occur twice, namely the first phase on 23-24 March 2026 and the second phase on 29-29 March 2026.
“Based on the results of analysis and evaluation with stakeholders, the return flow is expected to be divided into two phases, namely the first phase on 23-24 (March 2026) and the second phase on 28-29 (March 2026). With this pattern, it is hoped that the density of the return flow can be dispersed and travel can proceed smoothly,” said the Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho.
The public is urged not to undertake return journeys simultaneously during peak times. Kakorlantas also encourages return travellers to utilise the work-from-anywhere (WFA) policy by scheduling their return on (26/3) to (28/3).
Eid Return Flow One-Way Plan Starts 24 March
From 22 March to 23 March 2026, strategic measures have already begun to be implemented to anticipate density. One of them is through a traffic engineering scheme in the form of phased local one-way at several points.
Korlantas Polri plans to implement a national one-way scheme for the return flow starting 24 March during the peak return flow.
“Korlantas Polri will also implement a national one-way scheme for the return flow planned to start on 24 (March 2026), in accordance with the instructions of the National Police Chief and the results of coordination with the Minister of Transportation, the President Director of Jasa Marga, and Jasa Raharja,” he added.
