Taiwan donates $250,000 to NGO

INDONESIA: Taipei Economic and Trade Representative to Indonesia
David Lin has handed over a donation of US$250,000 to the Helen
Keller International Indonesia for tsunami victims in Aceh and
North Sumatra provinces.

The money, which was given by the NGO Affairs Committee of
Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was handed over to John
Palmer, the country director for Hellen Keller International, at
a ceremony held in Jakarta on Thursday.

Helen Keller International is a non profit organization
devoted to fighting and treating preventable blindness worldwide.
