Tablets now an option for productivity support devices

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Tablets are now not only used for entertainment purposes but are also popular as options for supporting productivity devices.

Lenovo Indonesia’s Consumer Product Manager William Hartoyo stated that tablet devices equipped with digital pens and keyboards are now choices for supporting work completion.

“Previously, tablets were mostly used for entertainment. However, now they have developed into productivity devices, especially for users like creators or illustrators who need a complete package,” he said on the sidelines of the Lenovo Yoga Tab launch event in Jakarta on Thursday.

“Now the trend is towards a complete package. Tablets are not just for entertainment, but can also support productivity,” he added.

According to him, this change is inseparable from the presence of Android-based tablet products equipped with stylus pens and keyboards, which allow tablets to be used to support work completion.

William estimates that the tablet market will continue to grow in line with changes in digital device usage trends.

“We see from Lenovo that with this trend transition, tablets should indeed grow more,” he said.

There are users who can work using tablets, and there are also users who need more advanced devices with more features to complete work.

“In the end, the choice is with the user. Whether the tablet is sufficient or still needs a more advanced device like a notebook,” said William.

He stated that Lenovo presents various product lines to meet consumer needs, from tablets for entertainment, gaming, to productivity support.
