Tabanan Education Agency Opens 2026 SPMB Complaints Channel
The Tabanan Education Agency (Disdik) has opened a complaints channel for the 2026 New Student Admission System (SPMB). The channel has been prepared to strengthen oversight while ensuring the new student admissions process runs transparently, objectively, fairly, and accountably. This step was taken so that the implementation of SPMB across all education units, from primary school (SD) to junior secondary school (SMP) level, can be more controlled and open to the public. Head of the Tabanan Education Agency I Gusti Putu Ngurah Darma Utama said the complaints channel was prepared to accommodate various information, input, and public reports regarding the implementation of SPMB across all education units from SD to SMP level. “We want to ensure all stages of SPMB run fairly, transparently, objectively, and accountably. Through this complaints channel, the public can participate in oversight, so that every incoming report can be immediately verified and followed up,” he said on Wednesday (1/7/2026). He stressed that joint supervision is expected to realise equitable access to quality education for all prospective students. “We urge the public to utilise the complaints channel if they encounter obstacles or suspected violations during the SPMB process, so that its implementation remains in accordance with the principles of fairness and transparency,” he asserted. Meanwhile, the 2026 SPMB stages are currently still ongoing, specifically through the domicile pathway. Registration for this pathway is scheduled from 29 June to 1 July 2026.
