Symbol of Equitable Development: Regent Holds Bogor Anniversary Meeting in Malasari Village
For the first time, the plenary session commemorating the Bogor Anniversary was held outside the government centre. This serves as a symbol of commitment to ensuring development is distributed evenly, even to the remote regions of Bogor Regency, stated Rudy in a written statement on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
Rudy noted that the selection of Malasari Village as the location for the plenary session was not merely ceremonial, but an effort to bring the government closer to the people and to directly observe various development needs in remote areas. “What we are observing is not just Malasari Village. This village is merely a small example; in several areas of Bogor Regency, many places are in similar conditions, and some even require more urgent attention. Therefore, development must be carried out equitably and justly,” said Rudy.
According to him, development in Bogor Regency does not only focus on road infrastructure but also touches upon the education, health, and public service sectors. The Bogor Regency Government continues to strive to provide better access to services for residents, even in the furthest regions.
“All aspirations expressed by the community will be a priority for the local government and will be followed up in accordance with the regional development planning mechanisms,” he added.
Malasari Village is located at the westernmost tip of Bogor Regency and is a hilly area bordering the Sukabumi and Lebak (Banten) regions. The village also holds historical significance as the starting point of the Bogor administration during the era of the first Regent, Raden Ipik Gandamana. The office of the first Regent also stands in this village and remains preserved to this day.
“Bogor Regency must not forget the historical roots that serve as the foundation of the region. By returning to celebrate the Bogor Anniversary at this historical site, the community is invited to understand the journey of our predecessors who laid the foundations of the administration and development of Bogor Regency,” Rudy remarked.
The 544th Bogor Anniversary commemoration was attended by the Vice Regent of Bogor, Ade Ruhandi, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), leaders and members of the Bogor Regency DPRD, the Regional Secretary, heads of regional agencies, and thousands of residents who crowded the event location.
“If we want Bogor to change, if we want Bogor to progress, then today we must use our hands, our feet, and move our bodies together to build Bogor Regency,” he concluded.
