Switzerland Welcomes Iranian Delegation for Talks with the US

Geneva (ANTARA) - An Iranian delegation arrived in Switzerland on Saturday (20/6) evening local time to hold negotiations with the United States (US) at the Bürgenstock Resort in an effort to halt conflict in the Middle East.

“We welcome the arrival of the Iranian delegation in Switzerland,” stated the Swiss Foreign Ministry via the social media platform X, adding that the Iranian delegation is en route to the Bürgenstock Resort as part of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the US and Iran.

Meanwhile, according to the Iranian state-owned television station, IRIB TV, the Iranian negotiating delegation, using the codename “Minab 168”, has arrived in Switzerland.

Previously on Saturday (20/6), Switzerland stated that it continues to provide a “closed and reliable environment” to facilitate negotiations at the Bürgenstock Resort regarding the implementation of the MoU between the US and Iran.

Initial negotiations regarding the implementation of the temporary peace agreement between the two parties were originally scheduled to take place on Friday (19/6), but were subsequently postponed.
