Switzerland Welcomes Iranian Delegation for Talks with the US

A delegation from Iran arrived in Switzerland on Saturday evening local time to hold negotiations with the United States at the Burgenstock resort, with the aim of stopping the conflict in the Middle East. “We welcome the arrival of the Iranian delegation in Switzerland,” the Swiss Foreign Ministry stated via social media platform X, adding that the delegation was en route to the Burgenstock resort as part of the implementation of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by the US and Iran. Meanwhile, according to Iranian state television station IRIB TV, the Iranian negotiating delegation, using the code name “Minab 168”, has arrived in Switzerland. Earlier on Saturday, Switzerland stated that it continues to provide a “discreet and reliable environment” to facilitate the talks at the Burgenstock resort regarding the implementation of the MoU between the US and Iran. Initial negotiations on the implementation of a temporary peace agreement between the two parties were originally scheduled for Friday but were postponed.
