Swindler at Bayu Asih hospital
Swindler at Bayu Asih hospital
From Merdeka
Some time ago, a visitor from Pabuaran, Subang district, to Bayu Asih General Hospital in Purwakarta was taken by a young man who pretended to be another hospital visitor to see a patient in room 1 of the Flamboyan sector. The encounter cost the unsuspecting visitor Rp 285,000.
The swindler's age is 23 to 28 years, he has short, straight hair, his complexion is dark, and he is tall and thin.
He professes to be a religious teacher and likes to talk of religious boarding schools in West Java. His modus operandi is to lead visitors to the hospital bathroom, in preparation for prayers in the hospital's mosque. He then takes money from the trousers of the unsuspecting visitor, which the victim has to leave unattended in the bathroom because the mosque lacks lockers for clothes.
I urge visitors to the Bayu Asih hospital to take great care of their possessions, especially first-time visitors from other regions.
I deeply regret the actions of this young man, who cold- heartedly cheated someone badly needing cash to buy medicine for a member of his family. Since he made the mosque his stealing ground, God will certainly punish him in a more painful way, here on earth, and in the hereafter.
As for the Bayu Asih hospital, while it is celebrating its 66th anniversary the management should improve the services as the hospital is the only such facility in the surroundings of Purwakarta.
