Sweepers clean AA toll road

At least 600 people were recruited as street sweepers to clean the Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (Cipularang) toll road ahead of the planned visit to Bandung, West Java, on Sunday.

Parts of the 41.3 kilometer toll road needed cleaning as concrete residue and other materials remained after the road was completed on April 18.

Hundreds of people carried brooms and were divided into several groups to work along the Rp 1.63 trillion road.

It was not immediately clear how much the sweepers were paid. --JP
