Suzuki's motorbike service

Recently, I decided to get my motorbike serviced at a registered Suzuki garage in Hayam Wuruk. My bike is a Suzuki TS (Trail) and I prefer to have it serviced at a reputable garage rather than one of the many small ones around Jakarta.

The day after picking up the bike from the garage (and having paid for a full service), I could not start it. There was a fuel leak and so the carburetor was flooded. I was able to start it after trying for fifteen minutes, and went back to the garage to ask them to fix it. Once again I paid but only to find the problem persisted the next day. I phoned the garage and told them to pick up the motorbike and fix it as it was now their responsibility. They gave me an explanation about the oil pump being broken and that they didn't have the spare part, but they had nevertheless fixed it.

The next day, once again, I couldn't start the bike and so this time I paid someone to take it to another Suzuki garage in Mataraman thinking that this garage may do a better job. This time I paid Rp 350,000 for the service, but to my astonishment, the oil pump had not been fixed and once again I couldn't start the bike. Not only that but now the headlights and the RPM meter didn't work either. I phoned and insisted that they take the bike back and fix it properly. They told me that the RPM cable was already broken and they claimed to know nothing about the headlight problem. They also said that the oil pump had been glued by the previous garage and is therefore very dangerous. I pointed out that the previous garage was a Suzuki garage too.

To date, the problem has not been fixed and I am waiting for the return of my bike. I can no longer trust either of these garages and I am disappointed in Suzuki's lack of professionalism and its apparent desire to extort money off customers. Perhaps Suzuki would like to explain why its staff cannot fix a simple problem on a Suzuki motorbike and why it cannot train its staff to work in a professional manner and to also take responsibility for their mistakes.
