JAKARTA – PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) has recorded an increase in fleet vehicle sales contributions in early 2026. This rise is inseparable from support for various government programmes (National Nutrition Agency/BGN), as well as growing demand from the private sector.

Deputy to the 4W Sales & Marketing Director of SIS, Dony Ismi Saputra, stated that collaboration with the government is not new, having been ongoing since the previous year.

“Actually, the collaboration has been happening not just this year. For this project, from 2025 until now, there has been demand to support the government programmes,” said Dony, when met at JIExpo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (8/4/2026).

He explained that the fleet sales contribution in early this year shows a positive trend. In fact, its portion is quite significant to the total sales of Suzuki’s commercial vehicles.

“If we talk about total fleet sales, especially in the early year, we see a positive contraction specifically for fleet sales. But this is not just fleet sales alone. Overall, from January to February this year, the fleet contribution is recorded at around 26 percent of total sales, particularly for commercial vehicles,” he said.

Overall, Suzuki’s commercial vehicle sales have also experienced a sharp increase compared to the same period last year. However, Dony did not explain the total unit contribution for the government’s BGN programme.

With this trend, Suzuki sees potential growth in commercial vehicles still open, both from government projects and operational needs of the private sector.
