JAKARTA — PT Suzuki Indomobil Sales (SIS) is preparing to begin distributing the Suzuki e-Vitara to consumers in Indonesia imminently.

Suzuki’s first pure electric vehicle for the domestic market was officially launched at the 2026 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS).

“If I’m not mistaken, handovers could begin from this week,” said Deputy Managing Director Sales and Marketing 4W SIS Dony Ismi Himawan Saputra in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

“The exact figures will be reported at the end of the month once we’ve completed the close-out. The numbers are still moving at the moment,” he said.

Dony added that the retail sales performance of the vehicle can also be tracked through industry reports released by the Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers Association (Gaikindo).

“Retail data can also be viewed in Gaikindo’s March 2026 report,” said Dony.

For context, the model is an electric SUV built on the HEARTECT-e platform with dimensions of 4,275 mm length, 1,800 mm width, 1,640 mm height, and 2,700 mm wheelbase.

Suzuki describes its design as embodying the ‘Metal Beast’ concept, which combines futuristic impressions with the rugged character typical of SUVs. The front appearance still resembles conventional vehicles, but is combined with a 3-point LED matrix headlight design as its signature identifier.

The electric motor produces 128 kW, equivalent to approximately 174 PS, with 193 Nm of torque delivered to the front wheels via the eAxle system.

To support driving safety, the vehicle is equipped with ADAS technology through Suzuki Safety Support, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Crossing Traffic Alert.

In Indonesia, the model is marketed at a price of Rp 755 million for the single-tone variant and Rp 758 million for the two-tone variant (on-the-road Jakarta).
