Suwandi looks for Asiad revenge

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's number two Suwandi looks to avenge his Asian Games loss when he meets top-seeded Indian Leander Paes in the singles first round of the Men's Challenger tennis championships here today.

Paes, currently ranked 148th by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), tops the seeding list of the 32-field tournament staged at the newly built Kemayoran tennis complex. Indonesia's best, Benny Wijaya, is fourth and will also play his first round match today.

Doubles specialist Donny Susetyo, one of four players awarded wild card entries, was the first Indonesian to fall victim in a 0-6, 3-6 trouncing by South Korea's Kim Boon-soo yesterday. (amd)
