Sutrimo Exhumation Involves Experts, Here's the Condition After 20 Days Burial
The exhumation of Sutrimo’s remains, who died in front of the Mordent beauty clinic in Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, is still underway. The exhumation process involves a number of experts, ranging from toxicologists to DNA specialists.
“In addition to forensic and medicolegal specialists, we are involving forensic laboratory, toxicology, DNA, and anatomical histopathology experts. We are working thoroughly and comprehensively based on the results of medical and laboratory examinations,” said the Chairperson of the Indonesian Forensic and Medicolegal Doctors Association (PDFMI), Brigadier General Dr. Sumy Hastry Purwanti, to reporters on Wednesday (12/8/2026).
Sumy Hastry acknowledged that the condition of the body had already decomposed. This is because Sutrimo had been buried since 23 July 2026.
“Indeed, the decomposition process has certainly occurred because it has been more than 10 days, from 23 July,” she said.
She stated that experts also took samples from Sutrimo’s body to be taken to the laboratory. The police are still investigating the cause of Sutrimo’s death.
“We cannot immediately conclude the results of the examination because the samples taken still need to be analysed in the laboratory. This examination is expected to help clarify whether the death was natural or unnatural,” she explained.
Sutrimo was found unconscious on Thursday (23/7). The victim was subsequently taken by ambulance to Muhammadiyah Taman Puring Hospital and was pronounced dead.
Based on circulating information, the victim was found with foaming at the mouth. The victim is reportedly the head of household for former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) at the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung), Febrie Adriansyah. However, the police are still conducting an investigation regarding the victim’s identity.
