Sustainable Transport Becomes New Focus of Project Oversight
The development of the national transport sector is now focused not only on strengthening connectivity and economic growth, but also on being more efficient, safe, and sustainable. This condition drives the need for project supervision and assurance systems, which are considered increasingly important in transport development.
This was conveyed by PT Surveyor Indonesia in a discussion entitled “Transportation and Sustainability” in Jakarta, Wednesday (13/5/2026). In the forum, the company highlighted the importance of integrating sustainability aspects into the development of the national transport sector.
The President Director of PT Surveyor Indonesia, Fajar Wibhiyadi, said that the transformation of the transport sector requires an assurance system that can ensure that development is carried out in accordance with safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
“Transportation plays a vital role in supporting national economic growth. However, at the same time, its development must also pay attention to safety, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Fajar, quoted on Friday (15/5/2026).
“This is where assurance becomes important, so that every development and operational process can run according to standards and provide a positive long-term impact,” he added.
In the discussion, PT Surveyor Indonesia emphasized the role of Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Consultation (TICC) services, which are considered increasingly strategic. The company said that assurance services are no longer just a function of compliance, but also a foundation for building an efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible transport system.
Through its Strategic Business Division for Infrastructure and Transportation and Sustainability and Environment, the company presents assurance services that support the transport ecosystem from the planning stage to operations.
On the other hand, the company is also actively supporting the implementation of sustainability principles through ESG and sustainability advisory services, carbon management, environmental audits, to traceability and sustainable supply chains.
These various services are said to be part of the company’s efforts to help industries and institutions strengthen compliance while also improving competitiveness in the face of the demands of a sustainable transition.
