Suspended Prosecutor Febrie Adriansyah Still Receives 50 Percent Base Salary

The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has temporarily suspended Febrie Adriansyah from his status as a prosecutor following a money laundering and corruption case that has ensnared him. Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, stated that the suspension was implemented pending a final and binding court ruling. ‘It is true, a letter has been issued effective 31 July for his temporary suspension, while we await a legally binding decision,’ Anang told reporters at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs on Wednesday, 5 August 2026. Despite the suspension, Anang explained that Febrie Adriansyah will continue to receive 50 percent of his base salary without any allowances. ‘For the time being, he only receives 50 percent of his base salary, no allowances. That will be reviewed once there is a final ruling,’ he said. The Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin, had previously taken administrative action against the former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. Febrie’s temporary dismissal was confirmed on Tuesday, 4 August 2026, with officials stating the decision was made in accordance with applicable regulations due to his status as a suspect.
