Suspended Pati Regent Sudewo Performs Eid Prayer at KPK Mosque, Delivers Message to Pati Residents

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Suspended Pati Regent Sudewo attended Eid al-Fitr prayers at the KPK Mosque in the Red and White Building, Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026). The Eid prayer was held around 06:30 WIB. The detainees arrived in a neat line of black prison vehicles in front of the building. They then emerged from the building around 07:05 WIB, dressed in typical Eid attire predominantly in white. Female detainees wore white kaftans with various coloured headscarves. Meanwhile, male detainees wore white shirts paired with sarongs or trousers. Sudewo exited the building in a relaxed appearance. He was seen putting his hands into both trouser pockets while walking out, wearing flip-flops on his feet. “Please forgive me physically and spiritually. Hopefully, we can soon pass this trial and ordeal, and I always pray and hope for progress in the development of Pati Regency in all sectors,” Sudewo told reporters on Saturday. He emphasised that, despite his current status as a suspect in the extortion case for filling village official positions in Pati Regency, he still loves the people of Pati. “The people of Pati Regency are prosperous, with superior human resources. We still love Pati Regency,” he said. In addition to Sudewo, other detainees present included Bekasi Regent Ade Kuswara Kunang, suspended Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya, former Special Staff to Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Ishfah Abidal Aziz (IAA) alias Gus Alex, former Coordinator for Institutional and Personnel Affairs K3, Irvian Bobby Mahendro, and former Secretary of the Supreme Court (MA), Nurhadi.
