Suspects in Nus Kei Stabbing Transferred, Now Taken to Maluku Police Headquarters

The drama surrounding the handling of the stabbing case involving the Chairman of the DPD Golkar Party for Southeast Maluku, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei, continues to unfold.

Two stabbing suspects have now been transferred to Ambon under super-tight armed police escort. The two suspects, HR (28) and FU (39), were brought from Southeast Maluku to the Maluku Police Headquarters to undergo further examination.

The transfer process was carried out amid maximum security. The Head of Public Relations for the Maluku Police, Commissioner Rositah Umasugi, confirmed the transfer.

“They are being brought to Ambon,” she said on Monday, 20 April 2026.

Upon arrival in Ambon, the two will immediately be taken to the Maluku Police Headquarters for intensive questioning. Previously, HR and FU were secured at the Southeast Maluku Brimob headquarters after being arrested.

It was previously reported that a bloody incident shook Karel Sadsuitubun Airport in Southeast Maluku. The Chairman of the DPD Golkar Party for Southeast Maluku, Agrapinus Rumatora alias Nus Kei, died after being attacked by unidentified persons (OTK) on Sunday, 19 April 2026.

The incident occurred around 11:25 WIT, shortly after the victim arrived from Jakarta. The situation at the airport area, which was initially normal, suddenly turned tense when the stabbing took place abruptly.

The Head of Public Relations for the Maluku Police, Commissioner Rositah Umasugi, revealed that the victim was attacked using a sharp weapon.

“Suddenly the victim was stabbed by an unidentified person using a knife. The suspected perpetrators immediately fled after the incident,” Rositah said in her written statement.
