Suspected JAD Terrorists in Central Sulawesi Spread Terrorism Ideology via Social Media
Based on initial investigation and preliminary examination results, the eight suspects are believed to be involved in disseminating terrorism propaganda through social media, including uploading and sharing content such as images, writings, or videos related to radical and terrorist ideologies,” stated Police Spokesperson for Densus 88 AT, Commissioner Mayndra Eka Wardhana, in his statement on Wednesday (6/4/2026).
Mayndra added that the eight suspects are still being thoroughly investigated. According to him, they have other terrorism activities besides those on social media.
“Besides digital propaganda activities, the suspects are also believed to be involved in various other terrorism activities that are currently still being probed by investigators,” he further stated.
Mayndra Eka Wardhana said the arrest operation was carried out on Wednesday (6/5/2026) around 01:30 to 03:30 WITA. They were arrested in Poso Regency and Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi.
“Densus 88 AT Polri has conducted law enforcement activities against eight individuals from the Jamaah Anshoru Daulah network affiliated with the global ISIS network in the Central Sulawesi Province area,” stated Mayndra Eka Wardhana in his statement on Wednesday (6/4/2026).
The eight who were arrested are:

RP (32), arrested in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi
ZA (37), arrested in Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi
A (43), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi
A (46), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi
S (47), arrested in Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi
