Suspected Harasser Who Was Grabbed by Victim on Nambo KRL Train to Be Blacklisted

A woman, suspected to be a harassment victim, fought back and grabbed the alleged perpetrator in a carriage of the Jakarta-Nambo electric rail train (KRL). KAI Commuter will add the suspected harasser to a blacklist. “As a follow-up to this incident, KAI Commuter will include it in the CCTV analytics database. This CCTV can record the faces of all Commuter Line users in the Jabodetabek area,” said KAI Commuter Public Relations Manager Leza Arlan in a written statement on Monday (4/5/2026). “We will blacklist criminals, both inside the Commuter Line and at stations, including perpetrators of sexual violence,” he continued. KAI Commuter urges all users to immediately report to officers if they witness suspicious incidents or actions. He guarantees that officers will take action. “Users can also report unethical actions or incidents through KAI Commuter’s official social media accounts and the 121 call centre,” he concluded. In a viral video circulating on social media, a woman is seen grabbing a man. The carriage was crowded with passengers at the time. The victim sounded indignant and scolded while grabbing the suspected perpetrator. The victim was seen being reprimanded by another passenger while grabbing the perpetrator. “If you don’t feel it, just stay quiet. Do you want to be rubbed against by someone?” said the victim. “It wasn’t me,” replied the suspected perpetrator. KAI Commuter VP Corporate Secretary Karina Amanda said the incident occurred on Monday (27/4) at 19:07 WIB in Commuter Line carriage number 1526 on the Jakarta Kota-Nambo route. Officers immediately secured the suspected perpetrator. “After receiving reports from other users, security officers in Commuter Line number 1526 on the Jakarta Kota-Nambo route secured the perpetrator to be disembarked at Cibinong Station,” said Amanda in a written statement on Monday (4/5).
