Suspected drug dealer arrested

JAKARTA: Police arrested on Monday afternoon a suspected drug dealer at his house in Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng in West Jakarta.

The Kembangan Police confiscated 42 large packages of marijuana and 14 small ones plus 16 packages of shabu shabu (crystal methamphetamine) from the house.

The police chief Comr. Joko Widodo said that the arrest was made based on a tip-off from neighbors.

"The suspect, identified as Ahmad Mulyadi alias Codot, 28, got the drugs from a dealer who is now on our wanted list," he said.

The suspect told the police that he had run the business for one year. He said he made a profit of Rp 5,000 from each package of drugs he sold. -- JP
