Suspected Attacker of Bro Ron Reveals Reason for Counter-Report to Police

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - MRB, one of the suspected perpetrators of the assault on Ronald A. Sinaga, alias Bro Ron, Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), has revealed the reason for filing a counter-report with the Menteng Police Station in Central Jakarta. It is known that MRB reported Bro Ron for alleged assault under Article 466 of the Criminal Code. Based on a copy of the report received by Kompas.com, MRB filed the report against Bro Ron on Monday (4/5/2026). He recounted the background of his report, stating that it was because Bro Ron uttered racially charged remarks. MRB explained that Bro Ron initially mentioned the names of certain animals and ethnic groups. “Who is your a**ng, who is your babu, who is your babu, you basic bo*ek, you A**n,” said MRB when confirmed by Kompas.com via short message on Wednesday night. In addition, MRB claimed to have received one punch to the solar plexus from Bro Ron. MRB revealed that the alleged verbal and physical violence by Bro Ron against him occurred at the MPP law firm office. At that time, he was asked for help by his relative because they felt scared. “There is a relative who works there. My relative called saying they were afraid because there were many people in their office,” he explained. He also indicated his readiness to face the legal process. “See you at the District Court (PN), High Court (PT), Supreme Court (MA) if necessary,” he said to Kompas.com via short message. Nevertheless, he acknowledged that the narrative presented by MRB is dangerous because it touches on issues of racism.
