Suspect in Student Crowd Vehicle Crash Case Appointed as Pandeglang Regent's Special Staff
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Pandeglang Regional Secretariat meeting room. Four officials were sworn in directly: Yahya Gunawan Kasbin, Hasan Bisri, Gimas Rahadyan, and Firmansyah, while Ahmad Mursidi participated remotely.
“On behalf of myself and the Pandeglang Regency Government, we need officials who can move faster, work smarter, and act more cohesively. Future challenges require innovation and creativity,” said Regent Dewi during her speech on Tuesday (26 May 2026).
The Regent stressed that citizens demand swift, accurate, transparent, and impactful public services. She urged officials not to fear innovation and to continue transforming their work.
“If there is a new method that is faster, better, more orderly, and compliant with regulations, implement it. Do not get trapped in routine work,” she emphasised.
Here is the list of new officials appointed by the Pandeglang Regent:
Yahya Gunawan Kasbin as Inspector of the Inspectorate.
Hasan Bisri as Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency.
Gimas Rahadyan as Head of the Regional Financial Management Agency.
Firmansyah as Head of the Population Control, Family Planning, Women’s Empowerment, and Child Protection Agency.
Ahmad Mursidi as Special Staff to the Regent for Government, Law, and Politics.
Police have designated Ahmad Mursidi, the former Head of the Pandeglang Investment and One-Stop Service Agency (DPMPTSP) in Banten, as a suspect. He was declared a suspect after hitting a crowd of students at SDN Sukaratu 5 in Majasari District, Pandeglang Regency, on Thursday (30 April) around 9:30 AM WIB.
Nine people were victims in the incident, two of whom died: Dewi Handayani, a vendor, and Muhamad Milal, a student.
“Based on the case review, he has been named a suspect,” said Pandeglang Police Chief AKBP Dhyno Indra Setyadi to reporters on Wednesday (13 May).
