Suspect in Bandung False Imprisonment and Assault Case Faces Up to 12 Years in Prison

West Java Police have applied layered articles against a suspect in a case of false imprisonment and severe assault, carrying a maximum prison sentence of 12 years. The suspect, Taufik Hidayat, was presented to the media during a press conference at the West Java Police Headquarters in Bandung on Friday (26/6/2026). The victim of the false imprisonment and severe assault is a woman with the initials YTR. The press conference was also attended by the Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, and the Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi.
