Suspect Don Ritto and Evidence Transferred to Attorney General's Office Today

Jakarta - Don Ritto, a suspect in an alleged corruption and money laundering case, will be transferred to the Attorney General’s Office today, Friday. Based on information gathered at the scene on Friday, the transfer is under heavy security from police. A number of heavily armed Mobile Brigade Corps personnel were stationed in front of the evidence storage room, accompanied by Provost officers and investigators from the Criminal Investigation Directorate. Meanwhile, Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Head, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed that the handover of suspect Don Ritto and all evidence to the prosecution will be carried out after Friday prayers. ‘The transfer will be carried out after Friday prayers,’ Budi said when confirmed in Jakarta on Friday. As is known, a joint investigation team from the Police’s Corruption Eradication Corps and Metro Jaya Police will hand over Don Ritto, a suspect in the alleged corruption and money laundering case, to the Attorney General’s Office on Friday. ‘DR (Don Ritt) will be transferred on Friday,’ said Metro Jaya Police Director of Special Criminal Investigation, Commissioner Victor D Mackbon, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday. He further revealed that DR will be handed over along with evidence in the form of seized cash and gold.
