Suspect Arrested in South Korean National's Murder in Bekasi

Jakarta, KOMPAS.com — Police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a South Korean national in Jatisampurna, Bekasi. Head of Public Relations for Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed the suspect is currently under questioning, with results to be announced later. The victim, identified as SBC, was found deceased in his dining room with multiple injuries by his daughter on Wednesday (27 May) at approximately 3:00 PM WIB. Investigators are awaiting autopsy and forensic laboratory results to determine the exact cause of death. Wuriyanti, a police official, stated that wounds on the victim’s body were suspected to be caused by blunt and sharp objects, but it is still being verified if these injuries caused the death. Police have also coordinated with the South Korean Embassy in Jakarta and the victim’s family regarding the autopsy process.
