Susilo urged to combat piracy

PADANG, West Sumatra: One of Padang's most famous singers, Elly Kasim, demanded on Sunday that presidential frontrunner Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono seriously enforce the laws against music piracy, if elected.

Despite several presidents in the past 6 years, music piracy still continued, Elly argued.

Elly added that such activities had to be stopped as they had cost the nation Rp 2 trillion per year in tax revenues. -- Antara
