Susilo to visit Alor regency

SURABAYA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will visit Alor
regency on Saturday to check on the situation after a devastating
earthquake killed at least 34 people in the area on Nov 13.

The President will present building materials to residents,
said Umu Saga Anakaka, spokesman for East Nusa Tenggara
provincial administration.

Susilo will stay overnight in Kalabahi, the capital of Alor
regency, and return to Jakarta on Sunday.

Megawati Soekarnoputri, leader of the Indonesian Democratic
Party of Struggle (PDI-P) and the former president, earlier
visited the area. -- JP
