Susilo to celebrate Christmas in Nabire

JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is slated to celebrate Christmas with earthquake victims in Nabire, Papua, and New Year's Day in Manado, North Sulawesi.

The presidential itinerary announced on Tuesday that Susilo is slated to leave for Jayapura on Friday and will spend Christmas Eve in Jayapura, before flying to Nabire on the next day.

"The President had planned to visit the quake victims in Nabire and decided to celebrate Christmas in the regency," presidential spokesman Andi Mallarangeng said.

The President will also visit Maluku, as part of his working visit to the eastern part of Indonesia.

On New Year's Eve, the President will stay in Manado. --JP
