Susilo pursues PhD at IPB

BOGOR, West Java: Presidential candidate Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Thursday took an exam at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) in a bid to obtain a doctorate in agricultural economics.

He enrolled in the IPB post-graduate program in 2002 when he was still the coordinating minister for political and security affairs.

When talking to the press after the exam, Susilo criticized people who obtained an academic degree without attending classes.

The presidential candidate expects to finish his study next year after taking comprehensive tests and conducting research. -- Antara
