Susilo 'a possible VP candidate'

MEDAN, North Sumatra: The National Awakening Party (PKB) will name its vice presidential candidate after the results of the April 5 legislative election are known, chairman of the party's supervisory board Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid, said.

Gus Dur, who arrived here on Tuesday, said that the outgoing coordinating minister for political and security affairs, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, had been mentioned as PKB's possible candidate for vice president.

The former president said he was not interested in speculating on likely contenders.

Gus Dur was in the capital to campaign in Brastagi subdistrict and Tanah Karo district. -- JP
