REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – Former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti was seen attending the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) of Bank BJB at Gedung Pakuan on Tuesday (28/4/2026). She is reportedly a strong candidate to occupy the position of Independent Chief Commissioner of Bank BJB. When confirmed, Susi Pudjiastuti did not provide much explanation regarding the news of her appointment as an Independent Commissioner of Bank BJB. She also did not say much about it. “Not sure yet,” she said when questioned by reporters on Tuesday (28/4/2026). Meanwhile, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated that the Bank BJB AGM for the 2025 fiscal year is expected to further improve its performance in the future. In addition, operational costs can be reduced and dividends increased. “Yes, today is the AGM for the 2025 fiscal year and we hope that in the future its performance will be much better. Operational costs will decrease further, dividends will increase, and the bank’s performance will continue to improve, both in terms of lending and deposits,” he said. He mentioned that he has recommended names to lead Bank BJB with indicators of having integrity. Regarding the news of Susi Pudjiastuti’s name becoming a commissioner, Dedi asked the mass media to wait for the AGM results. “We’ll see after the AGM, okay. Clearly, she (Susi Pudjiastuti) is a person who has the capacity to provide advice to the governor to make the right decisions in West Java,” he said. In the future, he hopes that Bank BJB’s performance will improve further, be healthy, and non-performing loans will be paid off soon.
