Bank BJB (PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten Tbk) has appointed Susi Pudjiastuti as Independent Chairman of the Board of Commissioners on Tuesday (28 April 2026).

This appointment was made during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) for the 2025 fiscal year of Bank BJB, held at Bale Pakuan in Bandung.

Susi now awaits the Assessment of Capability and Propriety conducted by the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

“I recommend people in Bank BJB whom I believe possess integrity,” said Dedi, quoted from Antara on Wednesday (29 April 2026).

The appointment of Susi also involves a reshuffle of Bank BJB’s board of directors as a step towards business transformation and strengthening corporate governance to enable further development ahead.

In the AGMS, Bank BJB recorded total assets of Rp221.3 trillion and was recognised as the regional development bank with the largest assets in Indonesia.

Dedi underlined that there is no political aspect in the reshuffle of the board of commissioners.

“For the board of commissioners, we base it on aspects of professionalism; there is not a single political aspect,” Dedi explained, quoted from ppid.jabarprov.go.id on 16 April 2026.

“From the West Java Provincial Government as a 36 per cent shareholder, we prioritise professionalism. This professional stance can be proven from the composition (of leadership) proposed, which was then agreed upon by all shareholders,” Dedi stated.

It is hoped that with the above steps, Bank BJB can advance further.
