Susanto becomes National Master

JAKARTA (JP): Young chess player Susanto Megaranto earned the National Master title after collecting on Monday a total of six points in the McDonald Chess Master Circuit at Bekasi.

Susanto is from the Dream Team. Before gaining the NM title, he held the title of Percasi (Indonesian Chess Federation) Master or MP.

Denny Sonjaya also earned the NM title with six points.

The circuit tournament ended on Monday with Dede Lioe and Cerdas Barus collecting the highest point tally with 6.5.

Susanto collected six points together with National Masters Buntoro, Haryadi Sucipto, Fide Master Hamdani Rudin, International Masters Salor Sitanggang and Denny Juswanto.

Dadang G.S. and Ansarulla gained the MP title after collecting 5 points each. (lnt)
