PT Suryacipta Swadaya (Suryacipta), a subsidiary of PT Surya Semesta Internusa Tbk (SSIA), has affirmed its optimism regarding growth in Indonesia’s national manufacturing sector amid positive trends in foreign investment inflows. This confidence is underpinned by West Java Province’s continued position as the principal driver of national investment, supported by industrial zones’ readiness to absorb technology transfer and foreign direct investment.

General Manager of Sales & Tenant Relations Binawati Dewi stated that West Java’s dominance as the primary foreign direct investment (FDI) destination results from a mature industrial ecosystem. Data shows West Java consistently making significant contributions to realisation of national investment targets.

“Based on our business visit to Hong Kong in early March 2026, investors were enthusiastic about Indonesia as an expansion destination in Southeast Asia. We see a shift in interest towards high-value-added industries requiring infrastructure certainty,” she said on Friday (13/3).

According to Dewi, this FDI trend is being implemented in the operational performance of the company’s two industrial zones: Suryacipta City of Industry and Subang Smartpolitan. In Karawang, Suryacipta City of Industry reportedly continues to demonstrate stable performance in supporting tenant productivity.

“Currently, Suryacipta City of Industry in Karawang has entered its maturity phase with available industrial land now remaining at less than 10 hectares. This demonstrates strong market absorption and investor confidence to continue operating in our zone,” she explained.

As a result, Dewi continued, Suryacipta’s primary growth focus is now directed at Subang Smartpolitan. This integrated independent zone has become home to international tenants, including a global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing operation. Subang Smartpolitan is also directly benefiting from the National Strategic Project (PSN), particularly the Patimban Access Toll Road, which will have a direct toll exit gate into Subang Smartpolitan.

“Zone connectivity is becoming increasingly solid with the target of full operational status for Patimban Port’s container terminal by the end of December 2026, as well as extensive toll road infrastructure development in West Java’s economic corridor,” she stated.

Significant interest surge

Dewi noted a significant surge in interest towards Subang Smartpolitan, particularly from investors from South Korea, China, and Indonesian domestic companies. This trend encompasses company relocations, new business formation, and business expansion.

Notably, demand is no longer limited to industrial land but has expanded to commercial opportunities. Along with the development of the Rumida residential area, in accordance with the initial Smart, Green, and Sustainable City concept, Subang Smartpolitan is creating a comprehensive ecosystem where industry, business and residential areas are mutually integrated.

“Suryacipta is optimistic about Indonesia’s manufacturing growth. With supportive infrastructure and accommodative regulations, we are committed to strengthening Indonesia’s position as a prime investment destination on the international stage,” she concluded.
