Jakarta, VIVA – Mitsubishi Fuso has once again demonstrated its consistency in Indonesia’s commercial vehicle market after maintaining its leadership position for more than five decades. Despite commanding a market share approaching 40 per cent in 2025, the truck manufacturer insists it has no intention of resting on its laurels.

The ever-changing automotive industry landscape demands that commercial vehicle players remain adaptive to consumer needs. Mitsubishi Fuso views this momentum as reason to continue strengthening both its products and services to maintain market relevance.

The greatest contribution to the brand’s performance comes from the Fuso Canter, which once again serves as the sales backbone in the light-duty truck segment. The model recorded a market share of 55.1 per cent and remains the distribution vehicle of choice across various business sectors in the country.

The high utilisation rate of the Canter in the field demonstrates that commercial vehicles are judged not only on their hauling capability but also on operational efficiency. Ease of maintenance and an extensive service network are key considerations for business operators when selecting their fleet vehicles.

Meanwhile, the Fighter X has reinforced Mitsubishi Fuso’s position in the medium-duty truck class, with consumer acceptance trending upwards. The truck is widely used for large-scale logistics needs and construction projects requiring greater durability and performance.

The combination of these two models forms a portfolio capable of addressing business needs across the spectrum, from small-scale enterprises to corporations. This is also the reason Mitsubishi Fuso has been able to maintain its status as the commercial vehicle market leader for 55 consecutive years.

Sales and Marketing Director of PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors, Aji Jaya, said the achievement is the result of consumer trust that the company continues to uphold.

“We extend our deepest gratitude for the extraordinary trust of consumers who have brought Mitsubishi Fuso to a 39.9 per cent market share, remaining the absolute number one amidst the challenges of 2025,” he said, as quoted by VIVA Otomotif from an official statement on Thursday, 19 February 2026.

According to him, the strong market position serves as motivation to deliver innovations that are more relevant to customers. Mitsubishi Fuso believes that long-term success is determined not only by products but also by service support capable of maintaining the smooth operation of vehicles.
