The Tangerang City Police conducted surprise urine tests on its personnel. Of the hundreds of personnel tested, the results were negative for drug use.

The activity was attended by Police Chief Raden Muhammad Jauhari, senior officials, heads of sub-precincts, as well as officers, non-commissioned officers, and civil servants of the Tangerang City Police.

Commissioner Jauhari said that the urine test was carried out as a follow-up to the order from the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, as part of internal prevention and supervision to avoid disciplinary violations, ethical codes, and criminal acts, especially drug abuse.

“This urine test is a form of our commitment to ensuring that all personnel of the Tangerang City Police are free from drugs. There is no tolerance for members involved in drug abuse,” said Jauhari on Wednesday (February 25, 2026).

He added that internal supervision must start within the institution itself before enforcing the law on the public.

“We want to set an example. If we take firm action against drug trafficking outside, then we must be equally firm internally. This is part of maintaining the dignity of the Polri (Indonesian National Police) institution,” he added.

The implementation of the urine test was orderly and smooth with strict supervision. This activity also serves as a reminder for all personnel to always maintain integrity, professionalism, and public trust in the Polri.

The Tangerang City Police ensures that such supervision activities will be carried out periodically as part of a commitment to a precise and drug-free Polri.
