Surge in tourist parcel demand sparks LionParcel agent opportunities in Bali
Tourists frequently encounter challenges when returning home, including full suitcases, high airline baggage fees, and the hassle of carrying excessive items. LionParcel’s Chief Retail Officer, Febri Andika, highlighted that logistics is increasingly integrated into daily life, including tourism. He emphasised that high tourist mobility drives growing parcel delivery needs. ‘We see this not only as an opportunity to offer customer-friendly services but also as a chance to create business opportunities for locals through LionParcel agent partnerships,’ Andika stated on Thursday, 28 May 2026. To address this, LionParcel has established an agent network across regions, including Bali, as the first point of access for customers. This makes logistics services more accessible and convenient for tourists. Meanwhile, the presence of agents also generates economic opportunities for local communities.Through these partnerships, LionParcel aims to foster local businesses that grow alongside increased parcel demand, especially in high tourism areas. Amid these challenges, logistics services have become a practical solution increasingly utilised by tourists. Muhammad Ekhsan, a LionParcel agent in Bali, daily assists tourists with their shipping needs to ease their return journeys. ‘During holidays or long weekends, parcel demand rises significantly,’ Ekhsan said. He noted many tourists opt to ship souvenirs or clothing as it is more convenient and cost-effective. For instance, LionParcel rates from Denpasar to Jakarta start from Rp 7,000 to Rp 37,000 per kilogram, depending on the service chosen. ‘This shows the high and recurring need for logistics in tourist areas,’ he added. ‘Domestic tourist destinations for shipments are varied, with Medan and Makassar being the top two.’
