Surge in Job Seekers Applying for Yellow Cards in Majalengka Leads to Long Daily Queues
The number of job seekers in Majalengka Regency has experienced a significant surge. This is evident from the long queues of applicants for yellow cards or AK-1 at the Majalengka Regency Public Service Mall (MPP) every day.
Based on observations at the location on Tuesday (12/5/2026), hundreds of job seekers had already crowded the yellow card service area since the morning. Many residents are willing to arrive early to secure a queue number for the service.
The yellow card is required for applying for jobs at various companies and agencies. The yellow card service operator, Tahjudiya, stated that the number of applicants increases daily, reaching more than 400 people. Meanwhile, the service and printing capacity for yellow cards remains very limited.
“Every day, the number of yellow card applicants surges, reaching more than 400 people. However, the daily printing quota is only around 200 cards. Usually, the printing service is completed around 4:00 PM Western Indonesia Time,” she said.
She explained that limited facilities are one of the main obstacles in the service. Currently, the service is handled by only four operators supported by two computer units.
“There are only four operators and two computer units in use, so it is indeed quite overwhelming to face the continuously increasing queues,” she said.
Nevertheless, the staff continue to strive to provide maximum service so that all applicants can be served properly. One job seeker from Jatiwangi Subdistrict, Rizky (22), admitted that he had to arrive since the morning to get a queue number.
“I arrived at seven in the morning to get a queue number. Because if you’re late, the queue is usually already full,” he explained.
