Surf, skateboard contest in Kuta

Reef and Blue Groove Production will hold a surf and skateboarding competition as part of the Indonesian Surfing Championship and Kuta Karnival 2005 on June 12, 29 and 30.

The Planet Reef event will start with surf trials on Sunday, June 12 at the Halfway Kuta Beach. Around 64 surfers are scheduled to take part in the competition.

They will have the opportunity to participate at the Pro Surf Competition on June 30.

The final day will be held at 7 a.m. on June 30.

Meanwhile, the High Ollie Skateboarding event will involve numerous skaters. The competition, adjudicated by a jury from the Indonesian Skateboard Association, will start at 3 p.m. on June 30.

The Planet Reef event will be highlighted with a Miss Reef Contest presenting 10 finalists. The event will also present a number of rock bands to entertain spectators.
