Surabaya to host craft council meet

SURABAYA: Surabaya will host the 19th congress of the World
Craft Council's Asia Pacific chapter in October, a provincial
official said.

Soedirman, the head of economic affairs of the provincial
government, said 30 institutions from 27 Asia Pacific countries
would take part in the congress, scheduled for October 21-28.

The event will be hosted by the National Craft Council.

The congress is a prelude to the ASEAN Tourism Forum, which
will be hosted by Surabya between January 5 and January 13, he
