Surabaya-Jakarta Toll Fees During Lebaran Return Flow Nearly Rp 1 Million
JAKARTA – The journey for the Lebaran 2026 return flow from Surabaya to Jakarta via the Trans Java Toll Road network requires substantial financial preparation.
According to data from the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT), for Group I vehicles (private cars), the total toll fee to prepare amounts to Rp 986,500.
This figure is the accumulation of several toll segments traversed from East Java to Jakarta.
Entering the Central Java region, the fees remain quite high. The Semarang-Solo segment is charged Rp 92,000, Batang-Semarang (Kalikangkung) Rp 144,500, and Pemalang-Batang Rp 53,000.
Meanwhile, on the West Java route approaching Jakarta, the fees to be paid include Pejagan-Pemalang Rp 66,000, Kanci-Pejagan Rp 31,500, Palimanan-Kanci Rp 13,500, up to Cikampek-Palimanan at Rp 132,000 and Jakarta-Cikampek Rp 27,000.
Return travellers are advised to ensure their electronic money balance is sufficient before starting the journey to avoid issues at toll gates.
On the other hand, there is an opportunity to save on travel costs thanks to toll fee discounts implemented during the 2026 Lebaran return flow.
Most toll segments receive a 30% discount. Even for the Batang-Semarang segment specifically, the discount offered reaches 46% until 27 March 2026, before returning to 23% during the period of 28 to 31 March 2026.
By taking advantage of this discount period, return travellers from Surabaya to Jakarta can reduce their total travel costs.
Nevertheless, trip timing still needs to be considered to avoid getting caught in the density of the return flow, which is predicted to continue until the end of March.
