Supreme Court Rejects Appeal, LPEI Corruption Convict Jimmy Marsin to Serve 10 Years

The Supreme Court has rejected the cassation appeal filed by Jimmy Marsin, the President Commissioner and beneficial owner of PT Petro Energy. Jimmy will remain sentenced to 10 years in prison for corruption involving the provision of credit facilities by the Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI).

“Reject cassation of Defendant III Jimmy Marsin,” stated the Supreme Court Directory of Decisions page viewed on Saturday (13/6/2026).

The court also refused the cassation appeal submitted by defendant Susy Mira Dewi Sugiarta, the Director of PT Petro Energy. Susy will continue to serve a 7-year prison sentence.

The cassation cases for Jimmy and Susy were decided on Wednesday (3/6) by presiding judge Jupriyadi, with panel members Arizon Mega Jaya and Ainal Mardhiah. The substitute registrar was Ayu Amelia.

Previously, the Jakarta High Court had increased Jimmy Marsin’s sentence in this case. His punishment was raised from 8 to 10 years in prison.

The appellate decision for Jimmy was handed down in a session open to the public at the DKI Jakarta High Court in Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/3). The appeal was adjudicated by presiding judge Catur Iriantoro, with panel members Budi Susilo and Hotma Maya Marbun.

“Sentencing Defendant III Jimmy Masrin to imprisonment for 10 years,” the judge stated while reading the appellate verdict.

The judge also sentenced Jimmy to a fine of Rp 250 million, subsidiary to 90 days of confinement. Additionally, Jimmy was ordered to pay restitution of USD 32,691,551.88, subsidiary to 8 years of confinement.

The judge also read the appellate verdict for defendant Susy Mira Dewi Sugiarta, the Director of PT Petro Energy. Susy’s sentence was increased from 6 to 7 years in prison, with a fine of Rp 250 million, subsidiary to 90 days of confinement.
