The Supreme Court has rejected the cassation appeal filed by judge Djuyamto, making his 12-year prison sentence and a fine of Rp500 million, subsidiary to 140 days of confinement, legally binding. ‘Verdict: Rejected. The Public Prosecutor’s cassation appeal is rejected. The Defendant’s cassation appeal is rejected,’ read the ruling for case number 6134 K/PID.SUS/2026, as quoted from the Supreme Court directory on Friday (3/7). The case was examined and adjudicated by presiding judge Jupriyadi alongside panel members Arizon Mega Jaya and Ainal Mardhiah, with substitute registrar Bayu Ruhul Azam. The verdict was handed down on Friday, 3 July 2026. The Supreme Court upheld the DKI Jakarta High Court ruling, which had amended the Central Jakarta District Court’s Corruption Court decision regarding the length of imprisonment, the subsidiary imprisonment for the fine, the subsidiary imprisonment for restitution, and the status of evidence from a BRI bank account under Djuyamto’s name. The appeal was heard by Presiding Judge Albertina Ho with panel members H. Budi Susilo and Bragung Iswanto, and substitute registrar Rina Rosanawati. The ruling was read on Monday, 2 February 2026. Djuyamto was found legally and convincingly guilty of jointly accepting bribes, as charged in the first alternative subsidiary indictment. He was also sentenced to an additional penalty of paying restitution amounting to Rp9,211,864,000, with the provision that if the convict fails to pay the restitution within one month after the ruling becomes legally binding, his assets may be seized by prosecutors and auctioned to cover the amount. Should the convict lack sufficient assets to pay the restitution, he will be subject to an additional five years’ imprisonment.
