Supporting Young Maritime Talent, PTK Holds Goes to Campus Event in Makassar

During the occasion, he, along with the Board of Commissioners, carried out their supervisory role over the programme.

One of the PGTC activities took place at the Makassar Shipping Science Polytechnic (PIP) on Tuesday (28/4). In front of 800 cadets, PTK speakers Captain Costantinus Fatlolon and Captain Sofyani Faisol shared knowledge on various aspects of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) in shipping as well as an overview of the global maritime industry.

PGTC was also held at the Barombong Shipping Polytechnic, Makassar, on Wednesday (29/4).

“Digitalisation in the maritime industry today has developed significantly. Seafarers must continuously develop their knowledge, not only to standard levels but even higher to keep up with the times and digital technology,” explained PTK Commissioner Hartanto.

In addition to the public lectures, PTK also inaugurated support for the development of cadets’ knowledge with the ‘Pojok LiteraSea’ facility, a digital learning resource, at PIP Makassar.
