Supporting WFH Policy, PLN Offers 50% Discount on Power Upgrade
PT PLN (Persero) has introduced the ‘Power Up Real, Listrik Aman Kerja Lancar’ programme, offering a 50% discount on electricity power upgrades to support the implementation of Work From Home (WFH) in society following the government’s policy on the matter.
The promotion, running from 15 to 28 April 2026, is aimed at low-voltage single-phase customers with initial power starting from 450 volt ampere (VA) to 5,500 VA who wish to increase their power up to 7,700 VA.
PLN’s Retail and Trading Director, Adi Priyanto, stated that the WFH momentum has increased household electricity needs. Therefore, the company is presenting this programme to provide comfort to the public, enabling them to carry out activities optimally from home.
“Through this programme, PLN wants to provide ease of electricity power upgrades for customers at lower costs, so that the public can carry out activities at home, especially WFH, comfortably without worrying about power shortages,” said Adi.
For example, a customer with an initial power of 1,300 VA who wants to increase to 7,700 VA only needs to pay Rp 3,100,800, or save 50 percent compared to the normal cost of Rp 6,201,600.
Adi explained that the mechanism of this programme is fully carried out through PLN Mobile. For prepaid customers, they simply need to make at least one token purchase transaction, while postpaid customers must pay their electricity bills.
After the transaction is successful, customers will receive an e-voucher for the power upgrade discount in the “Reward” menu on PLN Mobile or via the registered email.
Subsequently, customers can enter the e-voucher code when applying for a power increase on PLN Mobile. After payment verification, the local PLN unit will immediately process the application according to applicable regulations.
“The public need not worry because the power upgrade discount application process is easy and quick, only through the PLN Mobile app,” said Adi.
Adi added that this promotion applies to customers registered before 1 April 2026 who have paid all electricity bills or other obligations. He also invited all customers to optimise this power upgrade discount programme.
“We invite the public to make the most of this power upgrade discount promotion. So that the electricity power at home is sufficient to support WFH activities and daily productivity,” said Adi.
